Our leadership at Ward Street is significantly different than most churches. We believe we are a family, a community, with various gifts and services to offer one another and though we have a pastor, no single person is lifted more highly above the others as more important or more holy. That being said, we do have a paid pastor who we look to serve as our shepherd and full-time guide who is surrounded by new and older faces in our community that seek to faithfully tend to the community, our facility, and our mission.
Carter was appointed to Ward Street in 2018. He grew up in Arkansas, received a Bachelors in European History from the University of Arkansas, a Masters in Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, and then returned to Arkansas where he pastored for nine years before he and his family moved to High Point. He is married to Ann and has a daughter, Nora.
At Ward Street, we don't pretend to serve our community alone. We have so many partners and co-laborers we whole-heartedly support that we would love to put you in contact with. If you are curious about this list of ministry partners, please contact us.
